Terra Carta Design Lab Finalists

FutureYard is a shortlisted finalist in the first global Terra Carta Design Lab competition alongside incredible projects from the National Institute of Design Ahmedabad, Dubai Institute of Design and Innovation, Royal College of Art, and Rhode Island School of Design (our founder's alma mater).

The Terra Carta Design Lab, set up by His Majesty King Charles III through the Sustainable Markets Initiative, seeks to tackle global environmental crises by helping to bring recent alumni and student solutions to market.

FutureYard is one of the Rhode Island School of Design's ten finalists going in front of the global judging panel, headed by Sir Jony Ive. The winners will be announced later this year, and will receive funding and mentorship.

By using nature-based carbon storage, existing technology, financial incentives, alternatives to fossil fuels, and increasing biodiversity in yards, gardens, and green spaces, FutureYard aligns with the Terra Carta Charter Article 5: Game Changers and Barriers. Our goal is to design a network of local communities that are empowered to regenerate green spaces all over the world.
